Jeremy logged on to his MySpace on 5/28.
He updated his comment section too. I showed his last log on was 3/14. Interesting enough there were 3 new comments dated 5/28...almost as if he was aware those comments were there waiting for approval...
...and that means...what?
it means nothing, I noticed it and mentioned it.
With all the "official" labels being thrown about on Alizee sites I noticed Jeremy's own MySpace has "Non-officiel" listed under his name. Curiouser and curiouser!
Jermey's MySpace has a rather large link to his blog which has not been updated since 2006.
I wonder if Jeremy has a Twitter? Anybody?
I really enjoy Alizee's Twitter. It gives us an un-sanitized view of Alizee. What interests her, what got her attention, what she likes, giving us some insight on the real Alizee.
Do entertainers need to do all the social media? Website, MySpace, Facebook, Twitter and the list goes on. It will be interesting to see which media survives. Having them all is so redundant. Just following them all can be exhausting.
Ever try any program that searches Twitter post for the word Alizee? Now you can kill a few more hours every day!!!!! I tried Flock.

Alizee - Perfume - phenomena
Previously on Alizee Nation we discovered a YouTube account by AlizeeMexico which was filled with Perfume videos and a mash up of Perfume and Alizee.
Now here is another...AlizeePerfume!!! Out of Brazil and AlizeePerfume has plenty of Alizee fans as subscribers!
What is so unusual is that I was not searching for any Alizee connections on YouTube or through Google. I was just liking and looking for more on Perfume and stumbled upon this connection.
There are some obvious cross overs like Yelle and Superbus. And all Alizee fans love Les Enfoires...but Perfume?
So there ya go...
P.S. the audience participation, shouting their lines in this "Sweet Donuts" live video is pretty interesting. The last 5-10 seconds kind of reminds me of the choreography in the En Concert version of J'en Ai Marre.

Perfume & Alizee
Here is something that I ran across.
I was surfing YouTube, listening to electro/techno/dance, running through videos for Perfume. Looking for some comparisons to Daft Punk and others.
And what do I find...a Perfume Alizee mash up posted by AlizeeMexico
So here it is
The Perfume song is Secret Secret
That was interesting
Oh, and here is a very small comparison of Perfume and Daft Punk

Alizee - Outfits , Music and Finance
I am a supporter of Alizee not resurrecting the Lolita image for various reasons. I noticed while watching some her performances that singing the Moi...Lolita is not a problem at all and it is great. But...do you think we will ever hear the original J'en Ai Marre? Do you think it is put away for ever?
While we are at it. Do you think choreography will make it back into an Alizee concert? The real question is why is it no longer included. Why just the free lance dance? I assume it is because it is thought to be a better product. Why else? Possibly it is a budgetary situation. All the latest concerts have been "overseas" as compared to En Concert.
And, of course that leads me to another subject. I can not recall ever reading about Alizee and Jeremy's financial situation. We all assume Alizee is well off but what does it take to run Wisteria Song and put on a concert tour?
Looks like all I have are questions today...

Alizée around the net
Julien_P has a nice twitter site (I like the shoes) which takes you to his blog. He has a nice Alizée post.
psychalizee twittered an update to their site. Nice to see we are all not mesmerized waiting for Alizées next tweet. Sites appear to becoming more 'official'. I guess Alizée Nation maybe one of the few unofficial, unauthorized, rogue, independent, opinionated, do not have an autographed photo addressed to Alizée Nation hanging on the wall (hint), site on the net.
Last 500 or so they say...

Fifty - Sixty name dropping
Let's take a look at the people mentioned and not mentioned in Fifty Sixty. Click here if you want to look at the lyrics.
Edie Sedgewick, her name is not mentioned but the song is clearly about her. You may read about Edie at IMDB or Wikipedia.
Andy Warhol. Edie was the most well know of Andy's "superstars". The Factory was Andy's studio and hang out for the Superstars.
Nico, another of Andy Warhol's Superstars. Andy became the became manager of The Velvet Underground, he proposed that the group take on Nico as a singer. Nico sang lead vocals on three songs ("Femme Fatale", "All Tomorrow's Parties" and "I'll Be Your Mirror")
In 1963 Nico was in the French movie Striptease and sang the opening song. The song was written by Serge Gainsbourg.
Bob Dylan, NOT MENTIONED. Bob is deeply involved this story line. Bob was involved with Nico and heavily influenced Edie.
"Dylan once visited artist and filmmaker Andy Warhol when he came to pick up actress/model Edie Sedgwick, whom he was dating at the time, and found himself the subject of Warhol's movie camera. Dylan responded by picking up an original Warhol painting and taking it with him "for payment" for being filmed, which he used first as a dartboard, then traded for a sofa (he apologized to Warhol in a press interview years later for his attitude)".(IMDB)
Lou Reed. "Lou was the principal songwriter of The Velvet Underground. The group caught the attention of notable artist Andy Warhol, who raised their profile immeasurably, if not improving their immediate fortunes. One of Warhol's first contributions to the band's success was securing them a steady spot as the house band at Max's Kansas City. Reed rarely gives an interview without paying homage to Warhol as a mentor figure. Still, conflict emerged when Warhol had the idea for the group to take on as "chanteuse" the European former model Nico. Reed and the others registered their objection by titling their debut album The Velvet Underground and Nico. Despite his initial resistance, Reed wrote several songs for Nico to sing, and the two were briefly lovers."(wikipedia)
Lou is probably best know for his 1972 song "Walk on the Wild Side"
The lyrics tell of a series of individuals and their journeys to New York City, and is a thinly-veiled biography of several of the regular "superstars" at Andy Warhol's New York studio, The Factory, namely Holly Woodlawn, Candy Darling, Joe Dallesandro, Jackie Curtis and Joe Campbell (referred to in the song by his nickname Sugar Plum Fairy).(wikipedia)
An interesting note is that in 2007 Lou Reed collaborated with The Killers to create the song Tranquilize. Hmmmm, a group Alizée likes...I wonder...
Oh yeah, let's not forget the line: "Chic en Chanel" referring to Coco
For some more information from the instant-mag2 interview, refer to Alizee America and Romans translation. It is about 1/3 down the page.

Alizee Nation doing some catching up...
A) The accent in Alizée in searches...
1) Yes Ruro, Canada at #7, that is interesting. My guess is that it is telling us that U.S. searchers are not apt to use the accent.
2) Still can not get my laptop to create the accent, I have to copy and paste.
3) Kudos to Lefty for that accent reminder
B) Roman looking for a link for the Alizée Tweet video
1) Alizée Tweet link to Just Got Lucky can be found here
C) Ben, yes! Did just watch 'Factory Girl', was a fascinating yet tragic story.
1) Would like to know the historical accuracy of the story
2) Always like a Bob Dylan story insert...I didn't realize how many posts I had regarding Bob Dylan...here's one
hmmm sunrise captured over Corsica

Happy Mothers Day Alizee
Happy Mothers Day Alizee
In the United States Sunday May 10th is Mothers Day.
What about France? I'm glad you asked...
Moms celebrate France's Fête des Mères on May 31. A French tradition that was inaugurated by Napoleon and made official in 1950, this day honoring mothers dates back to Ancient Greece and is found in several countries.
You can find more on Mothers day around the world here.

Alizée - Google Trends
Lefty commented on the previous Alizee Google Trends post that I should show the results of an Alizée, to include the accent. So here are the results of the accent added to Google Trends.
The proper spelling gives us a very French perspective...as it should.
I guess it shows us that the world generally does not use the accent.
Or you think it is telling us...
(thanks lefty)

Alizee - Google Trends
Since Alizee started Twitter I have started several post only to cancel. I want to just sit back and enjoy the overall experience she is giving us. I did not want to record her every sneeze and then analyze what was the meaning of that sneeze.
It's nice, her sharing these tidbits of her life.
I was wondering what these Twitter tweets and tidbits were doing to Google Trends. Especially since she is using English so much.
Well, not much has changed.
This reflects Trends for Alizee, this will include all people named Alizee. The tennis player, the model....you get it.
Don't you wonder what is going on in Sterling Virginia to get to the #10 spot in cities. Or how about Romanian being the #4 Language. Maybe it just reflects the comments of Alizee American fan Roman...just kidding.
Another for the "for what it's worth" file. Makes me think about setting up a macro for a google search and see if I can have an effect on here. But now we're talking crazy.

Alizee - Techno Geek
Don't ya just love it...dropping a geek bomb on us. The camera, the techo music. Keep it coming Alizee!!!!
Chateau Marmont sounds something like Daft Punk in a way and Alizee liked them also.
Diane is the song that automatically plays on their MySpace page.
Kind of, sort of, in the same vein of Daft Punk, techo electronically speaking and this was a song Alizee liked. Harder Better Faster Strong (of course I'm pimping Coachella with this vid)
A bit off the techno but let's not forget she likes Gorillaz also which is a bit techie also. I like the beginning of Feel Good with the voice sounding like it is coming through the megaphone a bit Fifty Sixty like...what?
Fifty-Sixty...now there is a lot going on here. The megaphone effect, anime, black and white, the fashion 'book' and then those outfits being worn by Alizee...on and on and on. A full depth analysis of Fifty Sixty...now there would be a podcast I would love to hear (hint). Between the video 'stuff' and the song itself...it is hard for one person to see it all, would be cool to have the Alizee 'mind meld' thing going on with that one.
How did I get so far off track...this post just developed a mind of its own. Alizee Nation
