It has come to my attention that Alizée has the ability to separate cat people from dog people.
Waiting for the new album and new song is like trying to call a cat to come over to you. If you are lucky it will happen in time, when the cat decides it is ok. Not when you want.
"If animals could speak the dog would be a a blundering outspoken fellow, but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much."
- Mark Twain
Alizée will tweet when she feels it is time to tweet.
"Dogs come when they're called. Cats take a message and get back to you."
- Mary Bly
And so will Alizée
"For a man to truly understand rejection, he must first be ignored by a cat."
- Anon
It is character building but worth it the wait.
"There are two means of refuge from the misery of life - music and cats."
- Albert Schweitzer
Alizée's music!
"Way down deep, we're all motivated by the same urges. Cats have the courage to live by them."
- Jim Davis
Alizée has the courage to do it her way.
"There are few things in life more heartwarming than to be welcomed by a cat."
- Tay Hohoff
When Alizée does share with us there is nothing better.
"Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea."
- Unknown
Guess I do not need to add anything for this one!
"Cats are smarter than dogs. You can't get eight cats to pull a sled through snow. "
- Jeff Valdez
Have faith
and finally...
"There is, incidentally, no way of talking about cats that enables one to come off as a sane person."
- Dan Greenberg
I guess that would be me.
Car elle est comme toi, un chat
Thanks again to Reflections! Can not live with out your work.
I just love the depth of Hey Amigo...
So all of you trying to call the cat over to you...how is that working out?
For a little fun on the side. Go to YouTube, you will be looking at the 2008 tour of Mexico and see what outfit Alizée is wearing when she sings Hey Amigo.
Stop calling the cat, put some food in the dish, sit down and be patient.
Dog people...I don't know what to tell you.
UPDATE: A contribution from LadyCameronXIII : It also helps that Alizée is a cat, astrologically speaking, as well.

Alizée - Playhouse
I know this is silly and it is not much but it was a little fun.
Putting videos on the tallest building in Dublin Ireland via Playhouse.
Just a simple little experiment to see if I could do it.
Then a little bit more, they can listen in via the radio
I do not think I got the goldfish side did I?
Was that a little help with the wait for the new release?
If not, maybe you need this book...

The weekly Alizée Report
Did you see something I missed?
Frankly I prefer nothing rather then unsubstantiated rumors.
(on a personal note, I nailed unsubstantiated without spell correcter...that has to be a first)
While we are on that subject...I think it would be nice to see sources listed for any information. I try to do that, especially at this time when we are all sitting on the edge of our seats waiting. When I saw Sept 25, Sept 28, Third week of September listed as possible dates, I posted the Tweet that said it. So where did they get that information? We are all here together, if you have this information and do not want to disclose the source then say "from an undisclosed source". I can respect that.
I can guarantee one thing...I will not be the first to know. I do not have an Alizée bat phone waiting for it to ring...well I do it's just not plugged in and Alizée is not aware that I made one and....
I think it would be a great idea that when you see breaking "Alizée news" identify where you saw it so we can start to identify reliable sources.
Will Monday September 28 bring us news? We shall see.
Hmm....fill some space....Romanian fans have you ever been to Hoia Baciu Forest, that looks scary, always wanted to ask that.... what else...well I had another one of those 'you look like' deals. Really, does anyone else get that...and sometimes they are so odd, and having an annoying 'Dr House' personality is not as cute or quirky in real life as it is one TV. Sometime in the past I am sure my Mother once told me how wonderful I was, but I do not have it down on paper, oh crap, an unsubstantiated rumor. There we go...took up some space without having to make a video of how Alizée is the face on the Sphinx....but I do have some time this afternoon...
Whew, another post out of nothing...Alizée you're making work too hard. (call me on the bat phone)

Alizée - for the long time fan today
I try to have a lot for the new fans, something to hook you like everyone got hooked.
Most of the times it is a little for everybody.
But todays post is for the long time fan. Mainly because you will have to use your memory.
Something for you to contemplate, to think about, to just give it some thought.
I am not going to offer anything but the facts as I saw them, the rest is up to you.
There was a fan page www.nidalizee.com.
It was a good source of information. Then one day they decided to call it quits.
Let's face it most fan pages prefer to follow celebrities that are more visible then Alizée. Of course I think that is part of the charm and mystique of her.
Anyway...longer term fans...you remember the site and the disappointment when it ended I'm sure.
So...www.nidalizee.com domain name registration ended 9-20-2009
It was renewed another year to 9-20-2010
I wonder why?
That's it, that's all I got, just sitting around sharing my curiosities with you and wondering why they would do that. Only at Alizee Nation.

Alizée - Les Enfoires 2008
I have never been to Les Enfoires so I am calling for comments from those more familiar then me with it, that includes you Alizée.
I just noticed this for the first time today. I posted a little post regarding Le Match and hearing Alizée via Amazon.com. Le Match is my absolute favorite, I love watching Alizée on this one. So hearing her I wanted to watch it again and just went to YouTube.
So here is the video I have watched over and over. At 1:39 Alizée hands the ball off...
I watched this one today and here Alizée kicks the ball. All the faces look the same to me but at 1:59 Alizée kicks the ball.
So...what is the dealio?
More then one show? But duplicated the faces?
Inquiring minds want to know...OK, OK...just I want to know.

Alizée le spectacle avant le spectacle
I almost called it Alizéee news, but it is too early to call it that yet...actual dates are listed...here it is as the tweets appeared
So here we go Lilly Town People.
If you have not been around for this rodeo before and it may seem a little strange to you.
It's a bit of a 'Lord of the Flies' situation as far a information releases. We are the out of control group waiting for the authorities to come ashore and get us under control.
For Jive Epic it is a no win situation. No matter when they decide to offer an official statement it could leak out first. If they would have said something on Friday it would have leaked out Thursday.
So lets sit back and watch the show before the show. Le spectacle avant le spectacle.
Where will the first "official" response come from? MySpace, Jive Epic twitter, a real press conference, a press release, @mellealizee...
Or what will be the first response? Confirm...Deny...No comment at all and stick with the game plan...or was this the game plan?
There's no business like show business...
We are all with you Alizée!
Oh yeah, Jive Epic...give us the tools!!! Help us help you!!!

Friday weekly wrap up
Not all that much happened this past week and what did happen can best be summed up in one word: soon
Yes, that was the word from Jive Epic to a Jenny Tweet. Remember the August tweet from Jive Epic stated November. I think it has be great that Jive Epic has put out some information.
Then there was this tweet from Jive Epic to Jenny
per Google translator: not true. but the real kits coming ...
Here is what I think...keep in mind on twitter messages are flying around then someone answers one and it can be confusing...so again, I think....the "not true" may be in reference to the rumor of a single coming out the third week of September. Then the second part referring to cd album covers just arriving.
Do not be afraid to throw in your thoughts on this.
Now I know why the team all have their backs turned...
so we can not hunt them down and bribe them!!! After all if the covers are in that means there is an Album name printed on it. I wonder ...Alizee probably made them swear some Corsican omerta oath or something.
So, I guess we wait longer and we are still just chasing a reflection
Calvin and Hobbes
Soon...

Alizée - Flashforward
Flashforward...I was not able to find anything in regards to Alizée's new album...
Let me explain
Flashforward
The novel - (wikipedia)
*A science fiction novel by Canadian author Robert J. Sawyer first published in 1999.
*The novel is set in a fictionalized and anticipatorily futuristic year 2009
*At CERN, the Large Hadron Collider accelerator is performing a run to search for the Higgs boson.
*The experiment has a unique side effect: the entire human race loses its consciousness for about two minutes.
*During that time, nearly everyone sees themselves in the future (by about 21 years)
Flashforward
The TV adaptation (wikipedia)
*Based loosely on the novel, will air on ABC in Fall 2009
*Changing the "flash forward" from 21 years to 6 months
Flashforward
*The website: Flashforward which takes us to...The Mosiaic Collective
*Here at the mosaic you read stories of people six months into the future. (so they say) On the right side there is a search bar to look for items in the future
Well........nothing on Alizée, guess we just have to rely on our friends at Jive Epic!

Busy Alizée Fans
Well, what is going on here. There is a jump in activity in the UK. The home of Derekthered's Corsica blog. Besides some fun reading it is home of some great Corsica links! Here you can also find a quarterly Corsican newsletter here at Corsica Isula. The most recent issue was just released September 15 and responsible for the jump of activity. Scroll down a little over half way until you see "Join the Corsica Bullitinu newsletter mailing list" Sign up and get Corsican news in your email four times a year.
The jump continues across the channel in Deutschland. I am sure Jenny is doing her part too. You can follow Jenny on Twitter and her Alizée Forum Twitter and her actual Alizée Forum. Yes she is a busy one and a big fan!
Different countries will have their jumps in activity, it is always fun to follow. Countries at odds with each other will have common ground with Alizée fans.
I have noticed an increase of Alizée blogs lately. Nice to see
correction: thank you to Jenny for the correct information. "correctly it isn't MY forum Twitter I'm just running it"
Sorry for any problems that may have caused.

Alizée - Playhouse - Dublin
If you have some time you can have a little fun with Playhouse by creating some Alizée animation and music and putting it on the tallest building in Dublin.
Pixel definition is low but could be some fun getting Alizée up there. The key is getting something that works on that low def screen.
They have a twitter too.

Something new, the Alizée weekly wrap up post
After having a meeting with the staff we decided to have a weekly wrap up TMZ style until Alizée's new album is released. ;-)
Alizée Twitter: Nothing new this week. The last tweet was August 22, the "Thank You" after her birtday.
Jive_Epic Twitter: Nothing since August 14 when they told us 'November'
A rumor broke out this week stating that a single from the album was going to be released the third week of September.
There was no response from any reliable source.
Here is a review of the rumor:
A song is to be released next week
This is a no name yet announced song
From a yet unnamed album
From a yet to be promoted album
Pictures from Alizée's birthday started to appear on the internet
Well that's a wrap for this week

The Medium is the Message
I'll will now take advantage of that previous post "C'est magnifique!" to segue into this and future post. There is a method to my madness. Sorry, posting 10 year old pictures over and over is just not my thing.
We are on the brink of a release for a new album and rumored single by Alizée. It will be interesting and possibly important how information is released.
The title of the post is "The Medium is the Message". Marshall McLuhan coined the phrase in 1964. A basic definition: The Medium that is used to deliver the message influences how the message is received and understood.
A President or Prime Minister delivering a message to us is perceived differently if a lower level official delivers that same message.
A message delivered via a well respected publication will be perceived differently then that same message published in a hand out flyer. The Medium is the Message.
So how will we find out about Alizée's new single? It is interesting what Twitter is developing into. It can be perceived as a direct link to the message giver. It and possibly MySpace can be perceived as a legitimate way to communicate a message to the public. But what about that same message being delivered to the music industry? Does Twitter and MySpace come across as a bit flippant. We shall see.
Here is an example of "The Medium is the Message"
Embedding is disable, sorry for that. Here, on another Mad Men clip some 'good news' is delivered to a worker, but it is delivered via an intermediary...so don't get too excited, they were not willing to tell you themselves.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
What about the rumors...if they are false there is nothing that Alizée and her organization can do to stop them. Should they address every false bit of information...that could just lead to more. It may be best to just say what you mean through a legitimate source and mean what you say and we will trust that source and ignore the others. Who will that legitimate source be, Twitter, MySpace, Jive Epic...time is on our side and will reveal everything we beg to know.

A French Break from the ordinary
Yes I like to insert the occasional French clip into the blog. Showing something French inserting itself into the English speaking world. Here is a clip from the TV series Mad Men. Alright alright I'll say it, I am addicted to that show. There I said it. Alizée and Mad Men just can't get enough.
So to my surprise this clip was on YouTube. It is the French song "C'est magnifique!"

Alizée new single
Does it really matter when Alizée's new single and new album are released? Not really
We just get anxious and it sure creates a commotion in the Alizée community when conflicting information is "published".
I am going to stick with Jive Epic until they say otherwise.
If a single comes out earlier...all the better, I can't loose.
But in the meantime I have no problem comparing information...what else do we have to do?
Well besides sitting around and creating post about wind surfing. 'The' Alizée blog of original thought.

Alizée September or November or...
We need to talk about the publicity campaign regarding the new album and a release of a new single.
Is it best to have a well formed campaign, timely, accurate informative releases building up anticipation.
OR
A campaign surrounded by mystery, intrigue, conflicting information, and lack of information.
I am not making any commentary on this, just an observation.
It takes me back to a previous Einstein post. Are you "insane", expecting something different?
My suggestion, just be one of the faithful. I will have faith that it will not be a Waterloo, "and drove the French army in disorder from the field" (wikipedia)
So Jive Epic tweeted November
"L'album prévu pour novembre. Tiendrez-vous jusque là ? :)"
Today is a tweet from Psychalizee that states a single third week of September
"Ziartist: Alizée proposera son nouveau single aux médias dès la 3ème semaine de septembre. Le promo est prêt. Visuels prochainement."
Ziartist, look around here
So to the insane and faithful alike, if all of this is frustrating you, you are on the brink, just can not handle it, I offer this...

Alizée - Mon Bain De Mousse
When was the last time you listened to or googled Mon Bain De Mousse by Alizée?
A tweet by a Japanese radio station caught my eye.
Radio 79.5...hmmm...Japanese FM band is 76-90MHz, anywho
Wow, in Japan they play Alizée on the radio! Mon Bain De Mousse is how J'en Ai Marre was released in Japan. Take a look at google, there is plenty of stuff for Mon Bain De Mousse. That's pretty cool.
Whether it's "I'm Fed Up", "Mon Bain De Mousse" or "J'en Ai Marre" we love it. Am I missing one?
All this talk puts me in the mood to listen to Mon Bain De Mousse, how about you? Sure, me too.
Let's go to a special site to stay in the mood of the post.
Check it out HERE
Seems like a lot more audience noise then I remember but you know, I want to yell at ba da da ba da da too!

Some fun Alizée parodies
a little fun with some Alizée parodies
some video splicing and special effects
with this one the guy is in the street, not mimicking by watching a video. He STILL knows all the moves.
and who is Tabata Jalil? The Mexican Alizée? A reporter/television personality that impersonates Alizée. Do I have that right?
Left video is just the reporter Tabata doing what she does. The right video is her on a television show imitating Alizée. I thought it a bit strange but I am willing to learn. It is from only 5 months ago and already has 164,000 views. Wow, Mexico is big into Alizée!!!

Alizée - Itunes - Twitter and Oh yeah Canada
Or would that be Oh Canada?
One way to get a response is to leave someone out!
Only joking, our friend Ruroshen added some interesting information from Canada. Nothing like some facts, figures and some graphs to have a little analysis fun.
Ruroshen said:
"Here's a quick look at the breakdown for Canada. The top five shake out more or less the same, but it changes up quite a bit after that--"Hey! Amigo!" doesn't even make the top 10 for us, for example...and is actually being beaten by "Abracadabra". (What, really?)
Notice that the Alizée America Podcast comes in at number 22. Not bad, huh?"
Wow pretty cool finding the Podcast. I had not thought of looking for that. Nice catch. Ya know, it's about time I do a post regarding the Podcast ;-)
Now, let's get down to business. Hey! Amigo at number 15. HMMP!
Note: This is Ruro toying with me. He knows I like Hey! Amigo! What? Thought I would not notice.
(Just because we're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after us.)
I am suggesting a remix of Hey! Amigo! to make it more popular in Canada. We are going to start by renaming it. In lieu of Hey! Amigo! the new Canadian name will be Amigo! Eh!

Alizée - Itunes - Twitter
I am a Twitter fan. I seem to run across interesting things, well, interesting to me and yes I know that does not mean interesting to everyone. Twitter was very useful following wild fires for one. I noticed today that Yankee Daddy pulled an Alizée today. He tweets under ydnation, clever name by the way don't you think :). He was recently in the hospital with a viral infection and tweeted that he was out and fine just this morning. There you go, just a tweet, no press release no reporters. Just like someone else we know.
Before I change the subject how about the US National Football League policy on social networking. Nothing 90 minutes before and after or during games. One aspect of that (and there are many) is that it is protecting the press. We might just by pass the press if we can go straight to the players. Yes there are other reasons why players are not to tweet during this time...I know, but this is one aspect of it.
Twitter is having an impact. It is amazing to me how many people do not get it. I just had an idea!...oh come on Alizée don't make that face I have a good idea once in a while. Don't you think it would be cool if during a concert Alizée would pull out her Iphone and tweet us a quick hello from the concert? All smart phone concert goers would scramble to read it. Non attendees would get to be involved. Take a concert pic herself and post it in between songs...It's not that bad of an idea, it's fun, it's techie, it's different. Someone is going to do it if they have not already.
So, Jive Epic was tweeting some Itune stuff and made me curious with Alizée and Itunes.
Here are some different country results via Itunes, interesting.
Click on each box to view it better, then your back button to get back to the article and look at another.
France
Deutschland (per Itunes)
US
UK
Mexico
So what do we think...US has no 'new' songs. UK no Moi...Lolita - what?. France has Les Enfoires songs being very popular. Mexico looks like Tout Alizée was a success and did what it was supposed to do. MJ and Firfty-Sixty videos right up there. Deutschland Moi...Lolita a big lead over others.
Over all...combining results J'en ai Marre may be ahead of Moi...Lolita.

The September Issue
"The September Issue" is a documentary film about the behind the scenes drama that surrounds Anna Wintour and Vogue Magazine. Directed by R.J. Cutler. The movie was released in American theatres on August 28, 2009 (wikipedia) By the way, the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" is loosely based on Anna's character that was played by Meryl Streep.
What is this September Issue of Vogue you say. No no Alizée, I have it.
The September issue of Vogue is "THE" issue in the fashion industry. According to the films web site it goes out to 13 million people. The 2007 issue weighed 4 pounds.
Here is the trailer. You get a glimpse of Karl, oh no you didn't say Karl who. There is also a glimpse of Sienna Miller, you remember...Sienna...bo ho chic...clic here to see the Sienna - Alizée connection.
So the question is not if Alizée has this issue of Vogue, but where is it, on the night stand by her bed, in the living room, on a coffee table, in the kitchen. Hmmm, I wonder
