S1mone: Plot - A producer's film is endangered when his star walks off, so he decides to digitally create an actress to substitute for the star, becoming an overnight sensation that everyone thinks is a real person.
So that's what was going after "the split", during that 3 year hiatus when Alizée was "gone".

Alizée Pipeline
So what's in the Alizée Pipeline?
We have Muzik Elle at the end of September.
There is a remix by The Teenagers that is completed waiting for release.
There is Shanghai, China. If this appearance is to be at the Expo I believe that ends at the end of October.
And then there is a tour. A regular concert tour, a DJ tour? Only Europe?
There, I now have that mentally organized in my brain.

I told you so...
It's starting already. This is what really fascinates me, really "hooks" me. I know it's only me, it is an area that grabs my attention.
It's still August 22 but I thought I would see where we are at with a Twitter Search for "Muzik Elles". It is over a month away but let's see what might be going on. What do I find? Alizée, Alizée and more Alizée!
I told you. Alizée has a tendency to dominate events on Twitter! I think this is a big deal from the marketing side it shows respect and recognition but seems to go without notice. Alizée is not even headlining at this event but you would not know that by looking at Twitter Search would you? Would you? (HINT: Muzik Elles)
A 'virtual' street team has formed on Twitter... if I am in fashion...I want Alizée and this street team on my side. Hello, hello, McFly, think McFly...
This 'virtual' Twitter Search Alizée street team is not even really aware of itself yet. Once it becomes self aware... look out, look out Muzik Elles, look out Shanghai... Could you imagine if a Record Label (HINT: Sony) would utilize this WORLD WIDE WEB and not just a Regional based web theory... or even a Fashion Label. Oh gee, let's Twitter Search our Fashion Label and go to find the virtual Alizée street team has that label ALL over the web and Twitter Search.
But this type of branding promotion is not in our text books yet... As Tom Peters said "Re Imagine"
So Muzik Elles, I guess you're next, here we come...

Usually "we" seem to always have all the answers for Alizée. Frankly I did not know how she would ever be able to use Moi Lolita again and still leave the old Alizée behind. I have to say I think you're pulling it off, it's a fine line but you are doing it. You are like a mad scientist mixing so many things together coming up with a branding formula. The future is getting interesting, non?

Alizée, have you ever...
Driving today I had this funny thought, well at least it was funny to me. I was passing a car and "only" going the speed limit. A car was in on my bumper. As soon as I passed the car I was going around I changed lanes.
I was thinking is this person in a hurry (been there done that) or are they just a jerk and they'll flip me the bird when they go by.
They continued on with no incident, just in a hurry and late I suppose, I don't have a problem with that.
Driving in a heavily populated area, Paris for instance, I suppose all have all been flipped off at one time or another. (Not counting the times you personally administered the deed)
It had me thinking, I wonder if Alizée ever got flipped off driving in Paris. Now that would be hilarious to hear. Alizée, have you ever...

Thank goodness for Alizée fans
The TF1 appearance. There was no singing, no dancing... but I have to say we went crazy, as crazy as we can get online.
This appearance was close to slipping through the cracks. There was no promotion by Team Alizée, no Tumblr, no Twitter, no nothing.
Thank goodness for Alizée fans taking over the role of promotion and getting it out there for all the other fans to enjoy.
That needs repeating: Thank goodness for Alizée fans!
So why was this not promoted from within? I come up with 2 answers.
Not interested in promoting Alizée in this arena. Not "Rive Gauche" enough. There was no singing so who would be interested... We are not interested in selling more albums or having Alizée become more popular this way.

We blew it. We had no idea.
So I wonder what is going on in the next Team Alizée meeting? Are they saying: Whew that was a close one, we almost became more popular, sold more albums and started a 'tipping point' for upcoming concerts. We are exactly where we want to be.

Team, we just experienced a missed opportunity.
Did I mention this, thank goodness for Alizée fans!

Now this is a visual Alizée clip to die for...
A natural state, not the best conditions, but... she's got the look.
Windy, hair blowing around, a casual attitude... this is like seeing a clip of an animal in the wild in its natural state... to die for...
For me this is an.... lets say... 8 out of 10 on the OMG scale. A lot of that being due the rarity of the form. Not the pre packaged clip.

With all the labels maybe marketing does get a bit confusing. Who is marketing Twitter...that's what I said, Who is marketing on Twitter...What is handling facebook.

Large label vs small label thought of the day.
We all know what a large label brings to the table... #1 hits, airplay...
But here is a different angle.
How many people listened.... stop, by listen I mean just that, decided to listen to, not become a fan but just listened.
How many people listened to Alizée because of the Sony label?
How many people listened to Alizée because of the Institubes label?
Which is more likely: Wow Sony is the label I should listen or Wow Institubes is the label I should listen.
A combination of labels from the music industry food tree seems to be the formula of the day.
Sony > Jive Epic > Institubes > Wisteria Song
"If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"
If an artist is on a label and the label does not make any "sound" for the people around to hear it... no matter how many labels are listed... is it really a promotion?
