What do you think...the 1000 true fans post and then an Alizée tweet...pure coincidence I know but it was a fun thought. It sure was serendipitous on my part. Lefty took full advantage of the timing to add some great commentary.

Warning: If reading about the business side of the the business is boring for you...move on.
(*)1000 True fans, by Kevin Kelly is a business model theory for artist. It is an interesting read. I wonder how many artist actually work on the business side of things?
It is the same for anyone in business...you had a dream of being a baker, you have had some success but now you find yourself involved with packaging, distribution, trucking, etc.... wait...I just wanted to bake bread, those things were someone else's dreams. But you have to do it to continue. The business side of music...
Anyway...its a very interesting read....this is not telling anyone what they should do, just an interesting business theory...mainly for artists trying to make it.

Alizée sports and candy
I was thinking...at one time anyway, Alizée was a fan of the local Ajaccio football club...what about basketball...she would look good in a Lakers purple jersey...for sure! (Shania Twain sometimes wears local sport jerseys for concerts)
But who's jersey...I know the perfect match...Lamar Odom. Alizée you have often mentioned you fondness for sweets, wait to you see this...
gummies! you two would have a lot to talk about. You only live once, eat as much candy as you can!
Lamar needs a jersey with "Gourmandise" on the back.
But let's not make his new wife Khloe Kardashian jealous.

Alizée what next?
It is interesting...Alizée information comes in runs or spurts...kind of like watching a basketball game, teams have runs, points are scored in bunches. When is the next run of information coming...and...how will it arrive?
I do enjoy it, it is part of the fun of Alizée. How did we find out about the March 2010 album release? Think about it.
And of course we are never satisfied...it is never enough
So what are we to expect next? Obviously there is Les Enfoires...
Will anything happen before that? The single? Before or After Les Enfoires? Let's face it, we are at that point that we can definitely say that. If the album is due in March, the single needs to be released between now and then. It is the first time we can actually say that. So, before or after is where we are at and the only thing we can guess at.
Internet sites...can't guess at that. MySpace has not been touched since November 9th. They could be updated before the single release, but do they have to be? No, not really. Once the single is out, yes, something would need to happen, and perhaps even in preparation of the single release.
I read about the "comeback" of Alizée...following Alizée I really do not look at it as a comeback, this is just normal for her...so if she releases an album every 2 1/2 years each is a comeback?....it's just her pace, not a comeback.
So, when I ask Alizée what next? It is really a question I ask myself, it is not intended for Alizée, we will know when she tells us...in her way.

Alizée new album cover
Truthfully I saw what looks to be the new album cover and did not give it a second thought. Trying to just let things develop. But of course your comments have intrigued me.
Ruroshen and the letter A. Wow, I would have never looked at it the way Ruro did. see comments. Is he crazy... and then Jenny hopes this is not the final cover.
Jenny...interesting, I wonder...will a cover be published with a date on it? I also think Alizée has a tendency to tinker, as in the 5060 video, anime added to the TV screen. But printed art must have a final date, so you never know. Is the date just to serve a purpose online?
Ruro...let's talk... taking a look at the whole Institube label you see certain "looks". Two looks I see. First the black, white, gray themes. A fair amount of that. Then the geometric themes. Some one enjoyed geometry class and had a spirograph as a kid. The new "A" is more geometric, the Psychédélices "A" was tough to work with...I agree.
Take a look at the art work in Institubes. Geometry is the theme, very balanced, a Euclidian Art I suppose. The new cover has a hexagram along with a spirographic interior. I have no idea if it stands for anything and do not want guess at this time.
Look at ROB's artwork at institubes. Color is added but still very geometric. Twelve human figures around in a clock type circle. From Rob's bio, "From June 2009 to June 2010, for twelve consecutive months, Rob will write, record and produce an unknown number of songs, following the occult logic of his own inspiration and the meandering path suggested by the Gospels. Each month, a new record will be released, bearing his name and the title "Dodecalogue"--vinyl and digital formats. Each record will discuss one of the twelve apostles. Twelve records. Rejoice! " I think we are working with 12 here! Oh yeah, for fun take a look at Rob's Tumbler
Rob is always standing in the position of the drawings on his cover.
There are free style drawing but they are usually black and white etchings....Chateau Marmont, Alizee, Tiki Latex and more. Just go to Institubes and look. Geometrics...can be color and black and white free style.
So who is doing this...I suspect (and I could be wrong) ...House of Kids, take a look at todays twitter.
For some fun let's look at House of Kids post New hok's artwork, Uhuh. What is it saying? Geometrics inside a circle...square peg in round hole...I don't know :)

Alizée - Technikart
It was great to see a nice article in a reputable magazine....
I have to say I am really hesitant to analyze anything and would just like to let Alizée's comments stand. I feel it was a Alizée catching us up on where she is at with her music and how she got there.
She told us about David Rubato and how that led to Institubes and Tiki Latex and everyone there. How under rated Chateau Marmont is and what they played 4 tracks on the new album. How she was introduced to Edie Sedgwick. Even taking some moments to tell us what and who did not have an influence on her.
She would like to stay main stream and is not going "underground".
We have time to look at individual story lines later. I really feel she is saying....her is the real story guys.

Perhaps a little Apple on each earlobe, so a diamond post can fit right in the middle of it... oh tin-tin...strawberry feet, apple earlobes...a vegan delight.
WHAT??? ohhhhhhhhhhh.... your minds are all spinning....you don't know what Alizée's ears look like...do you! You know her......eyes and ........nose and................feet and...........well you get the idea (whew)...but you can't recall her ears! Thats because she hides them from us.

2010 - Alizée - The year ahead
Here we sit, 2010 and what a year it should be. A magazine article any day, any hour now...new pictures and news and perspectives, oh boy. Yeah yeah, everyone at Institubes thinks we are a little cultish and crazy, but don't forget, now that Alizée is under the Institube label you inherit us...you have these cool French underground guys...and they are kind of looking at us...you know...it's like when the nerdy cousin has to go live with the cool cousin for the summer...AND THEY BECOME BEST FRIENDS but at first they didn't know what to do with each other. Yeah, like that, it's going to be fun...well, it already is.
This month for sure brings us Les Enfoires...hopefully everything is on track for that. Always some great things from that. The black and white photos from last year taken by Jo Jacotey were just awesome. Two years ago was a favorite of mine, "Le Match". I can watch that over and over.
Then there is the pending single, album and tour. I've been around long enough now to know...it will be released when it will be released. Sometimes I get caught up in too...but truthfully the reaction business is what it's all about and unless Alizée calls you directly...you can't be the first. Remember when September was the rumor...sheesh.
A tour...2 dates, 10 dates???...Europe...Mexico...??? Do you all remember when Alizée mentioned Chile or did I dream that?? Since Alizée worked with Chateau Marmont will she perform with them??? I am always peeking at Chateau Marmonts Myspace to check their upcoming events to see what they are doing...awwww I shouldn't have said anything :/
I am sure there will be more TV spots this year to support the album. The style of the album, well now that is what it is ALL about. Don't forget it is a concept album too.
So there we go, the year ahead. I didn't guess or predict, didn't mention any names that I shouldn't yet be mentioned or affiliated with Alizée or the new album! I have been very good. I want to stay on Alizée's good side...working on that press pass for when the concerts start!
