First let me say..yes I get a kick out of Gorillaz and it sure will be interesting to what they have to offer at Coachella...with their new album coming out and what the heck they will do because they are the main attraction for that final day...Sunday at Coachella.
But what I really want to focus on is what they are doing....
PLAYER NO LONGER AVAILABLE
and I thought the advance of 30 second samples so early was unusual...guess not.
Truthfully, and aren't I always truthfull, well...most of the time anyway...I really don't understand this trend. I may need another "House" diagnostic episode on this one...sure Alizée you can join in...just make up a name...but not rabbit or ninja or anything like that....K? ;)

That's cool - an entire album previewed. Maybe Damon Alban feels fit to follow the trend, or may be it will give a hint towards actual sale figures. who knows? preview release; mp3/download release; physical/collector release = less wastage.
It is interesting, that's for sure.
Again this is a case of controlling the channel. It's a brave move, but if people are going to pirate it anyway, give it to them free and make sure that there is an official channel they can get it from. Atleast now you can track numbers and market to them.
